Our commitment to you
We are members of the British Dental Association (BDA), Denplan and Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. As part of our commitment to the well being of our patients we comply with the data protection act, factories act, health & safety acts, and undertake regular audits to ensure quality of service.
Ionising radiation guidelines (X-Rays) and pressure vessels (Compressors and Autoclaves) have been inspected and approved by authorized contractors at the recommended intervals. Our practice has been approved and inspected by the Primary Care Trust, Denplan and the BDA. We have also passed assessments for the Disability Discrimination Act and Thames Water Quality regulations.
We take the risk of infection very seriously and wherever possible have single use disposable items, eg. gloves, beakers, anaesthetics, needles, etc. We follow the advice given by the Department of Health and always use root canal instruments for a single patient and dispose of them after usage. Other items are ultrasonically cleaned and autoclaved under heat and pressure, hollow instruments such as dental handpieces are sterilized in pulsed steam autoclaves to ensure even the internal workings are sterile. Guidelines from the British Dental Association are always followed. All equipment is regularly serviced and complies with current regulations.
All clinical staff are registered with the General Dental Council and are required to regularly attend updates and meetings to keep their names on the register. Our Laboratory is also registered and is a member of DAMAS. All work carries the CE mark as per the medical Devices act. It is our policy to encourage our staff to develop professionally and to constantly update their skills and knowledge.
